Board Meeting Minutes
July 7, 2009

Members in Attendance – Cindy Hamilton, Joanna Chew, Lynne Waslohn, , Diane Thompson, Diane Kelly, Missy Marshall, Deanne Ikard, Sharon Murray, Joann West, Jane Sullivan.

Meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by Joanna Chew, Captain

Minutes from June were read and approved.

  1. Reading of June board meeting minutes
     
  2. Old Business
    1. There is only one space open for a foursome. Committee met last week. Jolyn is helping with decorations
    2. Captains tournament will begin on Tuesday, July 14 and will continue on the 16th and the 21st. There will be three flights and five places will be paid in each flight. Over 40 are already signed up.
       
  3. New Business
    1. Guest Day -- July 28 is next guest day and members may have only one guest on that day.
    2. Futures – Will be at GVCC on August 11. Deanne Ikard is handling the tournament.
    3. Gold Cup Challenge – Scheduled for August 18. Men are in charge this year.
    4. Ladies’ Championship - Starts on September 10. Per Sharon Murray, women with the 8 lowest indexes as of September will be in the championship flight. Everyone else will be seeded by indexes.
    5. East Bay Team Play – Deanne Ikard will be handling. She is sending an e-mail to Sequoia to verify who is going from GVCC.
    6. North Bay Team Play – Missy reported she is currently working on plaques. We are in third place net at this point.
    7. Slate of Officers – Slate of officers for upcoming year was distributed. To date, there is no one who has agreed to be Co-Captain.
