To be held on October 28. Debbie McGuire has sent information to both clubs.

Committee Reports

Club Championship Sharon Murray is unable to run the tournament this year, so Julie Osborne will do it. Format will be stroke play with Medalist on the first day being low net player. Top 8 individuals will pay scratch. Both low net and low gross will be awarded. September indexes will be used. Rules should be stapled to cards.

By-Law Changes Will be voted on at the general membership meeting in October: (1) All Green Valley members are eligible to play in the Invitational. (2) Both members and guests must have 10 games to participate.

Invitational Recap

Invitational chair will designate a person to verify all handicaps. A legitimate practice round should be scheduled for the Wednesday prior to the Invitational, perhaps a 1:00 shotgun. Pam Angen will take this issue to the golf committee for approval. Invitational bank account should have no service fee. Diane Thompson will discuss with Bank of America and, if necessary, Umpqua bank to try to arrange. Storage cabinet in ladies’ locker room was used to store raffle prizes and some were stolen this year. Cleaning supplies are currently being stored in the closet and many keys are available. Will discuss with Claude changing the lock and providing only a key to ladies’ group and one to administration.

Guest Day Next Guest Day is September 23. Each member may invite three guests, per Loretta.

Mini-Invitational Planning is in process and sign up sheet will be available soon. Date for the event is October 14.

T-Scores Sharon Murray reported that Southern Cal recommends no more than 4 Tournament scores per year as they heavily impact handicap. A motion was made to make the Ace of Aces Day one T score instead of Captain’s Tournament. Motion carried to take this issue to the October general meeting for a vote. (Article VIII, Section 2)

Christmas Charity Carolyn Roth will again this year arrange for Toys for Tots as the charity.

Slate of Officers 2009 proposed Slate of Officers is attached.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,
