Committee Reports

Co-Captain – Julie Osborne reported that the first Board Meeting for 2008 will be on Thursday, January 3 at 8:15.  She reminded everyone that that Thursday is a play day and those wanting to play must make a tee time.  Information will be posted on the web site as well as on the board in the card room. Cindy Hamilton said the pro shop is setting aside tee times so those wanting to play need to contact the pro shop.

Treasurer -  Joan reported that Melody is working on gifts to the people in the pro shop.

Corresponding Secretary – Carolyn reported that she has 26-30  cards this year.  Please let her know if you know anyone who should receive a card.

Tournaments – Cindy Hamilton reported that the last mixer will be held on December 13.

Handicapper – Diane Kelly reported that she is still collecting cards in the pro shop.

Rules -  Betsy Pelkin informed the group that she went to WGANC recently.  There were 200+ hole in ones last year.  $.30 of dues goes to the transportation fund for juniors.  Some clubs have also been collecting money for 3 putts and sending in for juniors.

There are rules changes for next year:  WGANC will have a rules seminar next year to explain the new rules.  The seminars will be by area and dates will be published.  On January 17, Round Hill will have a rules seminar and lunch for $30.00 Applications are posted on WGANC website.

Open Days - Per Betsy, dress code for open days will be the dress code of the club (not WGANC).  When signing up, our members are responsible for getting the information on the club’s specific dress code, per Lorraine King.

Hospitality – Carol Murrey plans all the menus at one time for the year.  The office has been provided with dates for next year.  If there are questions, they have been asked to contact Julie.  The office cannot cancel any date.

Charity -  Per Julie, Safe Quest will be the charity again next year for June.

Golf Committee -  Nancy reported that one of her suggestions was approved.  On #10, a diverter will go on path to send balls back across path.

East Bay Team Play -  Deanne Ikard brought trophy.  We need to keep a list of who played on which dates so Patty Williams can take a picture of the A team.

North Bay Team Play – Dian Thompson says they are ready to go in April.  Sign up sheet will be in locker room in February.

Invitational Committee – Per Sarah Johnson, the committee will meet on January 8, 2008.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:45.

Respectfully Submitted,
