Committee Reports:

  1. Captain  - Joan Mumaugh reported that WGANC is initiating a new program which involved having an Ambassador from each club to act as a liaison between the local and the chapter.  The ambassador will be involved in promoting events, going to meetings and receiving/responding to e-mails from WGANC.  Pat Collins has agreed to serve as Ambassador for the upcoming year.
  1. Co-Captain – Julie Osborne reported that we still have not received a thank-you or any other response from the money donated by our group.
  2. A roster of the slate of officers for next year was provided and is attached.
  3. Treasurer – Melody Scott reported that expenditures year to date are still under budget.  The pro shop has not billed for recent expenditures.
  4. Loretta reported that 74 people participated in the September guest day.  Next guest day is September 24.  It was suggested that we should have logo balls for guest days as most other clubs do.  Julie Osborne will look into the cost.
  5. Handicapper – Diane Kelly is still working on recording scores hole by hole.  She requested that cards should still be turned in.  She also suggested that everyone needs to check their scores toward the end of the month to be sure no scores were duplicated.
  6. Membership – In Mary Gay’s absence Joan Mumaugh reported that 23 letters have been sent to new members inviting them to join our group.  No follow-up has occurred yet.  There are currently 107 members in the group.
  7. Open Day – Judy Maderious reported that open day has worked out well this year with no problems.
  8. Charity – Julie suggested again that a new charity should be selected for next year, preferably a local one.  Joan mentioned that our by-laws will need to be changed to reflect how we want to do the charity event.
  9. Team Play – Diane Thompson reported that our club did very well in North Bay Team play.  We achieved second in gross and fourth in net.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 a.m. by Joan Mumaugh, Captain.

Respectfully submitted,
