Board Meeting – July 3, 2007

Members in Attendance – Joan Mumaugh, Diane Thompson, Melody Scott, Julie Osborne, Carolyn Roth,  Cindy Hamilton, Deanne Ikard, Itsuko Moridaira, Lynne Waslohn

Meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Joan Mumaugh, Captain

Minutes from May 1, 2007 were read and approved.

Old Business – none

New Business – none

Committee Reports:

1. Co-Captain – Julie Osborne reported that $855 was raised for SafeQuest at the charity event.  Thank you notes have been mailed, but so far there has been no response from SafeQuest.  Julie suggested that we might consider another charity for next year.
2. Treasurer – Melody Scott reported that expenditures through June remain basically the same as the previous report.  The pro shop has not billed for recent expenditures.
3. Tournaments – Cindy Hamilton reported that the Bernice Dunlop memorial tournament will be held next week.  The next guest day will be July 24 and members may have one guest only at this one.  The September guest day will allow multiple guests.
4. Corresponding Secretary – Carolyn Roth reported that she will be submitting a bill for cards and stamps in the next month or so.
5. Invitational – Deane Ikard reported that there is only one spot left in the invitational and she is trying to fill it.  Wednesday there will be a nine-hole practice round.  It has not been decided yet if it will be a shotgun or not.  Horse race competition will begin at 3:00.  Three holes will be played and six teams will compete in the final horse race.  The party will begin at 6:00 and husbands are invited.  Heavy appetizers will be served.  Dress will be 40’s-50’s with diner decorations.  There will be three flights.
