Committee Reports:

  1. Co-Captain – Julie Osborn reported that the sign-up sheet for the charity tournament to be held on June 5 is now posted.  Checks for donations should be made payable to Safe Quest.  Julie requested assistance with raffle prizes for the tournament.  Di Thompson suggested an e-mail to members of the ladies’ group for donations of prizes they might have from other tournaments that they are not using.  Carolyn Roth suggested we might ask for volunteers for baked goods for the raffle.
  2. Treasurer – Melody Scott reported that through April the expenditures have been $1,233.
  3. Best Ball Tournament Recap – Participation was the best it has been in recent years with 24 teams of two players.
  4. Membership – Mary Gay Whiting reported that 32 letters have been sent to new members.  That includes all of the 31 new members in 2006 and one for 2007.
  5. Open Day – Judy Maderious reported that the open day on April 13th was a great success with 100 players.  She expressed appreciation for the assistance received from members of the 18 hole group.
  6. Invitational – Diane Thompson reported that sponsor letters have been sent and some response has already been received.  Jeri Serota will donate a quilt for the raffle.  Sign up sheet should be up the first week of May.  A percentage of sponsor donations will be donated to charity.
  7. North Bay Team Play – Diane Thompson reported that all is going well and that the play day at Green Valley went very well.
  8. Futures – Joan reported that Colleen Yoder put together a team for the first futures.  Julie Osborne expressed concern that team play this year is scheduled for the same day as some of our tournaments.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:25 p.m. by Joan Mumaugh, Captain.

Respectfully submitted,
